He has helped more than 10,000 international students from approximately 70 countries gain admission to some of the world's finest universities in the U.S., UK, Europe, and Australasia. He has guided thousands of families through immigration to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. He has done all of this across five continents, in boardrooms and on factory floors, in Mandarin and in English.
For 16 years he served as Recruitment Director, North America at INTO University Partnerships — one of the world's largest international student recruitment networks — driving hundreds of millions of dollars in enrolments across 24 U.S. universities. Before that, he developed immigration training curricula for over 3,000 professionals across 34 centers in China, taught at Sichuan University, and was the first foreigner to host his own radio program on Hunan Radio Station. He co-founded the Hong Kong Education Planning & Further Study Centre, has helped global companies across multiple sectors develop their online brands, and served on the boards of companies spanning EdTech, FinTech, higher education, and music. He co-founded VEDX Solutions Inc. — an immersive learning consultancy and deployment company operating across corporate, public and private education, and government sectors — and was an early investor in Gimme Radio, the streaming music service built for heavy metal fans. He has brokered Memoranda of Understanding between educational institutions across China, India, Kenya, Mauritius, Pakistan, the UK, and the United States, building the institutional bridges that make global pathways real. He is now a licensed insurance agent with Symmetry Financial Group.
He is fluent in Mandarin. He is married to a woman from Shenyang. He has a teenage son. He plays electric guitar and bass in an Atlanta rock band called The Midlife Crisis. He has walked the factory floors in Shenyang. He has sat across the table from Chinese families making decisions about their children's futures for three decades.
